About me and my practice.
I have always been interested in human behavior. Why do we respond in the ways we do to the world and people around us? How do our experiences of a shared event—or a relationship, or a trauma—sometimes vary so greatly from person to person?
Before earning my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Southern California, my two decades of experience working in health and wellness helped me cultivate strong intuition and a unique understanding of pain and healing. I followed that work with three years of training and practice in a community mental health clinic, specializing in LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy. I also counseled teens and middle schoolers through a LAUSD program, and supervised teen volunteers at a hotline for teens in crisis.
To support my work with couples, I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which means I have completed intensified trainings for my work with couples. Additionally, I continue to refine my work with couples by regularly participating in consultation groups led by EFT Certified Supervisors.
Now in private practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT #140985), I work with individual adults, teens, and couples.

My services and specialties.
Individual adult therapy
Offers a safe and non-judgmental space to better understand who you are and an opportunity to examine the patterns that may no longer work for you. Individual therapy can provide support for life’s unexpected challenges and tools to help you overcome transition, loss, confusion, sadness, unfulfilling relationships and feelings of being “stuck.” It is possible to live a more fulfilling life—and asking for help can be a powerful first step.
Couples counseling
Relationships with partners provide us the opportunity to experience deeper levels of intimacy and heal old wounds. Of course, each partner enters the relationship with their own histories, experiences, needs and values. Often times, we need help attuning to each other's needs while learning how to provide the necessary support to grow and evolve together.
Young adults
Adolescent years are unique due to the vast developmental changes teens undergo. Their identities are emerging and they are beginning to desire autonomy and individuation. Common reasons for seeking therapy can include: sexuality, self esteem, peer relationships, academic pressures, gender identity, anxiety, developing coping skills—and often times needing support from a trusted adult outside of one's family. Please contact me to discuss whether therapy may be appropriate for your adolescent.
